Purchasing Tickets, Cancellations, Exchanges & Refunds

EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS

Before placing a booking, carefully review your event and ticket selection. Once purchased tickets can only be exchanged for a different date for the same performance and cannot be refunded unless the Event is cancelled, moved to another date, or if details of the Event are significantly changed after a booking is placed (significant changes being a change of headline act (concerts only), venue or show time).

Booking fees whether originally presented as a separate item or included within the stated face value of the ticket are non-refundable unless an event is cancelled or significantly changes.

CANCELLED AND POSTPONED EVENTS

Beccles Public Hall and Theatre will notify you if an event is postponed or cancelled.  It is the ticket-holders responsibility to ensure that a correct contact information is provided at the time of booking to be able to facilitate this.

EVENT CANCELLATION

If an Event is cancelled by Beccles Public Hall and Theatre (i.e. a cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control), we will refund the purchase price of your tickets and any booking fees. Ticket delivery, refund protection and telephone service fees are non-refundable.

EVENT POSTPONED OR CHANGE OF VENUE

If an Event is moved from its advertised venue and / or the date is changed, tickets already purchased may remain valid should you wish to attend the revised Event.

Please note: Booking Protect is available at time of ticket purchase and offers refund protection at a cost of £1.95. We recommend you include this option in order to get a refund of your tickets and booking fee should you or anyone in the party be unable to attend due to;

  • Injury or illness happening to you, or a member of your immediate family.

  • Adverse weather including snow, frost, fog or storm where the Police or Government have issued travel warnings.

  • The mechanical breakdown, accident, fire or theft en route of a private vehicle taking you to the booked event.

  • For full details of the refund protection, view Booking Protect's Terms and Conditions.

Delivery Policy

Tickets may be posted to you for an additional charge:

Please ask for information at time of booking.

Alternatively, for no additional charge, your tickets may be collected from the Box Office or can be sent to you via email in the form of an E-ticket.

Children

Children under 3 years do not require a ticket when sitting on a lap unless otherwise specified.

For reasons of safeguarding, young people under 14 attending the theatre must be accompanied by an adult.

Carers

We value the invaluable assistance that our carers provide and are happy to provide complimentary tickets to those who are assisting adults who are unable to attend the theatre on their own. Please note that carer tickets are limited to 1 per booking and must be booked alongside a paid ticket. Additionally, please be aware that there is a limited number of carer tickets per performance and on certain performances, carer tickets are not available.

Latecomers

Latecomers will be admitted at the discretion of venue staff and at an appropriate point in the performance.

Certificates

We are required by law to refuse admission to a performance to anyone who is, in the opinion of our staff, below or appears to be below the minimum age limit required by the relevant classification of the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) or local authority. Whilst we never like turning customers away or causing any disappointment or embarrassment, our licence, and therefore business, relies on our vigilance and we may insist on photo ID.

ID can be requested at any point as initial checks are not possible when tickets are purchased from our website.

Offers

Any offers apply to full price tickets only and cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.

Safety and Enjoyment

Beccles Public Hall and Theatre takes the safety of their audiences very seriously and reserves the right to implement additional security measures, such as bag checks, as and when necessary. Any items which could be used as a weapon, or alcohol not bought on the premises, will be confiscated.

All gangways, passages and staircases must be free from obstructions and people will not be allowed to sit or stand in these spaces during a performance or screening.

Using mobile phones during a performance, even if they are on silent, causes disturbances in the auditorium. With that in mind, all phones should be switched off fully or set to silent and put away until the end of the performance.

Photography and video/sound recording during performances and screenings are strictly prohibited unless specifically told otherwise.

Beccles Public Hall and Theatre reserves the right to make changes to these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
