FIT FOR A KING

Buckingham Palace has announced that the Coronation of His Majesty The King will take place on Saturday 6th May, 2023. The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Ceremony will see His Majesty, King Charles III, crowned alongside The Queen Consort. The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.


You can enjoy the King's Coronation at Beccles Public Hall and Theatre.


On Saturday 6th May join Beccles Public Hall and Theatre for a free screening for the King's Coronation. The Coronation will be aired on the big screen at the Hall for you to be part of this day in history with other members of the local community.


A cream tea will be served during the screening to ensure it is a right royal occasion. Enjoy a scone with jam and cream and your choice of a tea or coffee.


Doors open at 10am.

Take a seat and get yourself comfortable for a full morning of live coverage before the coronation at 11:25am.


The Hall’s volunteers will be on hand, and the Hall Bar will be open too should you wish to partake in a tipple and raise a glass to our new King.


Cream teas (gluten free cream tea are on offer too) are just £5 and the screening is free. Advanced booking for cream tea is required.
