Beccles Public Hall and Theatre showcases a cracking line up of entertainment, craft and more...


The April line-up kicks off on Saturday 1st April with a show that won’t make a fool of you! Phoney Towers The Stage Show which is an ingenious homage to the popular TV show Fawlty Towers. The show promises sidesplitting moments, rollicking resemblance and fun audience interaction. It is a show that is bursting with riotous escapades from all your favourite Fawlty Towers characters in new adventures and mishaps and some unexpected surprise guests!


Sunday 2nd April sees something completely new to Beccles Public Hall with a living Spring Wreath craft workshop. Make your own living wreath to brighter your front door this spring in a guided 2-hour workshop, which includes tea/coffee and cake too.


As we step into the Easter Holidays on Monday 3rd April, there is Film with family favourite Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. Tickets for this film at the Hall are just £2 per person. The Easter break also sees a performance of Alice in Easterland – Easter Pantomime on Saturday 8th April at 2:30pm. Featuring Britain`s Got Talent star, Pete Lambert, this is a heart-warming, fun and exciting Easter adventure is packed with amazing Circus and Magic acts. The pantomime has been co-Produced between That’s Entertainment Productions and local Haverhill Arts Centre. Easter wraps up on Monday 10th April with Michael Jordan’s High Jinx Show. Direct from the Blackpool Tower Circus and Sooty Show Live. The High Jinx performance at Beccles Public Hall is part of their nationwide tour.


April also sees a unique tribute to the songs of Victoria Wood with LOOKING FOR ME FRIEND: The Songs of Victoria Wood on Thursday 13th April. Tributes continue with Simply Jackson on Friday 14th April and From Gold to Rio: The Greatest Hits of Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran on Saturday 15th April.


If a more laid-back style of music is your preference, Hall favourite, Richard Digance is back on Sunday 16th April for an afternoon of live Contemporary Folk music.


Events fundraising for the Hall wrap up on Thursday 20th April with a brand-new Wellbeing Evening @ The Hall from 6pm to 9pm. The evening will feature an amazing line up of small, local businesses, all with wellbeing in mind. There will be opportunity for a mini pamper, shopping and chance to buy a drink from the Hall Bar. Entry to the Wellbeing Evening is just £2.50 and includes entry into a raffle for a chance to win a pamper hamper, full of prizes from the amazing stall holders.

Based on the classic TV show everybody loves, this tribute show, performed in the style and variety of Fawlty Towers, offers an ingenious homage. With sidesplitting moments, rollicking resemblance and fun audience interaction, it's bursting with riotous escapades from all your favourite characters in new adventures and mishaps and some unexpected surprise guests! Fasten your laughter seatbelts for a frenzied comedy show to captivate and delight audiences young and old!

Our show is inspired by the classic BBC comedy Fawlty Towers.

WORKSHOP: Spring Floral Wreath

This spring, you can try your hand at something a little different at Beccles Public Hall and Theatre, as our Marketing Manager, Donna leads the first of many craft workshops at the Hall.

Donna, who in her spare time, runs a houseplant-based small business will be hosting a Spring Floral Wreath Workshop on Sunday 2nd April 2023.


Tickets are just £45 per person.

Those attending will turn their hand to making their own living wreath with a selection of spring flowering plants to take home. The workshop includes tea and cake.

An Afternoon With: Richard Digance

2023 sees Richard, still going strong and performing at selected venues as well as spending more time in his studio composing soundtrack music. Richard Digance is a BAFTA Nominated entertainer and a recipient of The Gold Award from The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters. He has also won a Sony Award and is one of only three British folk singers mentioned in The Virgin Anthology of Songwriters for his contribution to comedy songwriting.  He has released 43 albums, written 22 books and composed the songs and music for Bill Bryson's best-selling Audio CD book 'The Road To Little Dribbling.' He has worked in America with movie star Steve Martin and recalls two of his greatest moments as playing The London Palladium with Robin Williams and a guitar duet on TV with Queen guitarist Brian May. Off-stage he composes soundtracks and incidental music for TV and movies plus audio CD books.

Beccles Public Hall is pleased to announce their first ever Wellbeing Evening

We are delighted to announce that Beccles Public Halls will be hosting its first ever wellbeing evening on Thursday 20th April 2023. The evening will feature an amazing line up of small, local businesses, all with wellbeing in mind. There will be opportunity for a mini pamper, shopping and chance to buy a drink from the Hall Bar.

The Hall will be open from 6pm, to 9pm. Turn up and browse at a time that suites you.

Tickets are just £2.50 and will include 1 raffle ticket for your chance to win a Pamper Hamper. Additional raffle tickets are available on the evening.
