CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) – UPDATE
In line with the Government’s latest guidance, Beccles Public Hall & Theatre will remain closed until further notice. The lockdown restrictions have been extended for at least another three weeks and we have decided to suspend all public events at the Hall through to Saturday 4th July. This will give an element of certainty to our visiting artistes, hirers, and customers at a time when the only ‘certainty’ appears to be ‘uncertainty’.
Our priority is the health, safety and well-being of our customers, staff and volunteers and we believe that this is the best course of action to delay the spread of the virus and to support our NHS and other front-line services and essential workers. The situation will be kept under review and we will, of course, open the Hall again as soon as government regulations allow.
The impact of coronavirus is a real and serious threat to Beccles Public Hall & Theatre. As a charity we receive no external funding, but we are determined to survive and continue to provide a focal point for events, entertainment, and private hire in Beccles. However, we need your help urgently so please consider making a donation to the Hall and/or converting your ticket refund to a donation if you can afford to do so. If you are able to support us – and we understand not everyone can – by donating the cost of your ticket, or even a proportion of the cost, or making a separate donation, that would be hugely appreciated.
Donations to the Hall can be taken by credit/debit card on the box office telephone (01502 770060 from 10:00am to 12:00pm Monday-Saturday) or by cheque (payable to ‘BLL Public Hall A/c’) and sent to Beccles Public Hall c/o 5 Wesley Close, Beccles NR34 9UZ. Bank transfers can be made to Sort Code: 40-52-40, Account Number: 00021382.
We would like to thank everyone in advance for their understanding, patience, and support over this difficult period. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Beccles Public Hall & Theatre before too long.
